Sixty-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday. The calls include:
Early in the morning, officers responded to suspicious activity on Montgomery Street after a resident reported a man walking through his property. The individual was located and determined to be returning to a nearby residence; no report was needed.
Police also checked on a disturbance at a business on Graves Street where a man was reportedly loud and possibly intoxicated. He left before officers arrived.
A major call came just after 9 a.m., when officers and EMS responded to Oak Drive for an unconscious elderly man. He was transported by EMS, and the incident was later classified as a death investigation.
Additional calls through the day included a harassment complaint at a First Street business, a report of inappropriate content involving a person staying on Calhoun Street, and a theft at Hedrick Medical Center where a purse and wallet were reported stolen and a credit card used locally.
Officers also conducted several traffic stops throughout the day, issuing multiple warnings, and ended the night with a welfare check on Springhill Street.
