Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Ninety-five calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday.  Some of the calls include:

In the morning, officers were called to Turner and East Herriman Streets for a possible illegal burn. The fire was extinguished with the help of the Fire Department. Shortly after, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Ryan Lane and South Washington Street. No injuries were reported, but one driver was cited for failing to yield.

During the afternoon, officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol with a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 65, south of the city limits.

In the evening, police were called for several well-being and disturbance checks.  Later, officers resolved a disturbance in the 2700 block of North Washington Street.

The day ended with officers investigating a hit-and-run crash in the 1400 block of Bryan Street just after 10:30 p.m. A vehicle struck a utility pole, causing damage, before leaving the scene. CMU assisted at the site, and the investigation remains ongoing.
