Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Nearly 80 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday.

Officers conducted several well-being checks throughout the day. In one case on Batta Street, the individual was contacted and said they were fine. Two other checks on Alexander Street and South Washington Street, officers were unable to make contact.

Two arrests were reported Tuesday. Following a traffic stop at Tenth and Maple, a 36-year-old man was taken into custody on a warrant for failure to appear on a shoplifting charge. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

Later, a 45-year-old man was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a stop at South Washington and Business 36 Highway. He was processed and released.

Officers also responded to a report of suspicious activity at Simpson Park and assisted a stranded motorist at Walnut and Third Streets.
