Sixty-one calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday. Some of the calls include:
Early in the morning, officers investigated reports of possible gunshots near Danner Park but were unable to locate anything. Later in the morning, officers responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash in the 1300 block of Webster Street.
During the afternoon, officers conducted a well-being check in the 1800 block of Polk Street, where the person involved said no assistance was needed. Police also investigated a report of stealing in the 300 block of North Washington Street. A 28-year-old man was arrested for the stealing charge and on active warrants out of Johnson County. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center pending extradition.
Wednesday evening, officers responded to a report of harassment and enticement of a child in the 200 block of Clay Street. A 28-year-old man was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
