Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Fifty-nine calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday.

Early morning, officers responded to a trespassing report on North Washington Street, where a person was found sleeping near a shed and left without incident.

Later in the morning, officers assisted a resident with questions about potential scams, while Animal Control investigated a report of dogs damaging property but found no animals in the area.

Around midday, officers responded to a downed powerline on Northwood Terrace, with utilities notified.

Afternoon calls included a report of suspicious activity that proved unfounded and a parking complaint that was resolved when the vehicle owner moved their car.

In the evening, officers addressed concerns about children riding dirt bikes, contacting parents with no violations found, and returned a loose dog to its owner, with follow-up planned.

Officers also conducted routine traffic stops and business checks throughout the day.
