Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Eighty-seven calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday.

Officers investigated a child abuse and neglect case in the 300 block of Polk Street, where two children were removed from a home due to unsanitary conditions. A 30-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were later arrested in connection with the case and taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold. The investigation remains ongoing.

Police also served a related search warrant at the same location and responded to an animal offense complaint there.

Other activity included several harassment-related calls, most of which were resolved without reports, a well-being check where no contact was made, and assistance to a stranded motorist at Washington Street and Highway 36.
