The death of a 29-year-old inmate at the Chillicothe Correction Center was confirmed by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Prison officials report Briana McClung was pronounced dead at 12:33 a.m. on Saturday. McClung was serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of third-degree assault from Howell County.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the official cause of death.
