Chillicothe R-II School Board – Budgets, Building Assignments, & Committees

As the Chillicothe R-II School District closes out the end of the fiscal year, Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says they paid the final bills and made some transfers to various funds.

Of nearly three million dollars to cover payroll for June through August.

Another large transfer covers projects and buses.

Capital projects, buses, and improvements at various buildings.

The district ends the year with over $3.6 million in reserves.  He says that comes to about 15.4% funding in reserves.

The 2025/26 fiscal budget includes $26.2 million in revenues and $26.6 million in expenditures.  This leaves the district in the red by about $392,000,  which is corrected by a $500,000 transfer of funds in the previous budget to cover the costs of buses, HVAC upgrades, and other summer projects.

 

The Chillicothe R-II School Board approved the list of building reps for the 2025/26 school year.  The School Board members assignments include:
