More than $25 million in Community Development Block Grants were awarded to 52 communities around the state of Missouri for community improvement projects. The grants are awarded through the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The City of Chillicothe is the recipient of a $268,000 grant for demolition. Governor Mike Kehoe says the grants align with his key priorities of improving public safety and encouraging economic development.
Another community in the region receiving funding is the City of Bevier – $189,088 for demolition
