Chillicothe Salaries For Elected Officials Set By Council

The pay for Chillicothe’s Elected officials was set at Tuesday’s meeting, but will not go into effect until after next April’s Election.  The salaries have been set as follows:

Mayor:  Base Salary of $23,138.17, plus $100 per council meeting, and $50 for Planning and Zoning meets attended. There are other allowances as well.

Council Members:  will receive $100 per council meeting attended.  The designated Council members serving on the Historic Preservation Commission will receive $50 for attending that meeting.

The City Clerk and Auditor will receive a base salary of $68,428.87, plus $90 for each council meeting attended.  They also receive the same retirement and health benefits as full-time city employees.

Salaries for the City Treasurer, City Attorney, and City Constable are set at $1 per year.  The Constable will also receive fees as allowed for constables of townships.
