Chillicothe Street Department Trucks – Repair & Replacement

Transmission problems and a well-used street department truck were discussed at the Chillicothe City Council meeting.  The City has two trucks that have transmission problems.

During the meeting, the council approved buying a transmission for one of the trucks.

The other transmission will come from a truck that is well-used and needs to be replaced.

The Council approved the purchase of a NEW 2024 truck chassis and the equipment needed to have it ready for the winter plow season.  The truck will be purchased through a cooperative and does not require bids.  The total cost is estimated at under $98,000.  That truck should be ready in about six weeks.
