Chula Under Audit At Residents’ Request

At the request of Chula residents, the Missouri Auditor’s office is conducting a thorough review of city operations.  The State Auditor’s office received the request for the audit that included 39 verified signatures of Chula residents.

Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick says they will do their best to provide Chula residents with a detailed look at city operations with the goal of giving them the information they need to hold their city officials accountable for the decisions they make.

He says if there are areas that need improvement, his office will give city officials a detailed roadmap for how to make city government more efficient, effective, and transparent.

The last audit of the City of Chula by the Auditor’s Office was in 2011, resulting in a “fair” rating.

Individuals may provide confidential information for consideration during the audit of the City of Chula to the State Auditor’s Whistleblower Hotline at 800-347-8597, by email at moaudit@auditor.mo.gov or by visiting www.auditor.mo.gov/hotline.
