The Chillicothe City Council had a review of the finances as they near the end of 2025/26 fiscal year. City Administrator Roze Frampton says an area of revenue shortfall for the city is sales tax collection. She says they are about $5,000 below last year’s year–to date, and well below the year-to-date budgeted amount.
She says March should look better.
Better numbers in the sales taxes.
Frampton pointed out that other areas are looking better.
Including spending, interest, and property tax revenue.
She says all of this is taken into account as they are working on the 26/27 budget.
