Coffey Teen Injured In Crash

A Coffey teen had moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Harrison County.  State Troopers report the crash occurred on Interstate 35, a mile south of Bethany, as the 16-year-old was southbound and swerved to change lanes to avoid hitting the rear of a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Ottumwa, IA man.  The teen overcorrected, struck the driver’s side of the other vehicle, then ran off the east side of the road.  He was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital.  The other driver was not injured.
