The April 7th Municipal Election will have two county-wide ballot issues and a variety of items for school districts and other entities.
The county-wide ballot issues are:
Shall the County of Livingston exempt senior citizens aged 62 and older from increases in property tax liability due on such senior citizen’s primary residence?
Shall the County of Livingston exempt eligible taxpayers from certain tax increases on eligible tax payers’s primary residence above the liability incurred during the initial credit year:
The following school district will have elections for school board members:
Hale-I – vote for three of the candidates that include
Kevin Miller, Craig Harbert, Chauncey K. Ponting, and Rebecca Dodson (White).
Livingston R-1 School Board – vote for three of the candidates
Chasity Anderson, Brian Widner, Stanton Warren, Marlois Slater, and Jane Myers.
Grundy County – Trenton R-IX School Board – vote for three
Ronda Lickteig, Brandon Gibler, Travis Pagel, and Zachary D. Plumb.
Caldwell County R-1 – vote for three. There is only one candidate, Micah Thompson.
Other contested races on the ballot include:
City of Chula – Southward Aldermen: Kyle Gramenz and Daniel Murphy
Livingston County Ambulance District #4 Board member – vote for one – Megan Hall and Ken Lauhoff.
Additional ballot questions include:
Public Water Supply District #1 question: Shall Public Water Supply District #1 of Livingston County, Missouri, issue its waterworks system revenue bonds in the ammount of $12,000,000 for the purpose of extending and improving the waterworks system of the district, including acquiring land rights of way, cost of operation and maintenance of said system and the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable by the district from operation of its waterworks system, including all future improvements and extensions?
Cream Ridge and Sampsel Townships General Road Districts are each asking for voter approval to levy an additional $0.35 cents per $100 valuation for a period of four years.
