Council Approves Purchase Of Two Bucket Trucks

The purchase of two bucket trucks for the CMU Electric Services Department was approved by the Chillicothe City Council.  CMU General Manager Matt Hopper made the presentation to the board for what he called a “Big Truck.”

A 60-foot boom truck that will be built starting 2027.

The estimated cost of the truck is $316,499.  Hopper says that will likely change because Altec doesn’t know the cost of the Chassis yet.

The second truck is a small boom truck.

This is the smaller telescopic boom truck and will replace a nearly 20-year-old truck.

The estimated cost is $176,929.  And again that price is an estimate.
