Court Actions – Change Of Venue

Area judges recently approved a change of venue in two cases.

In Sullivan County, Jeko P. Markov faces charges of alleged endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, and two counts of alleged unlawful use of a weapon.  On March 3rd, a motion was made in Sullivan County Circuit Court for a change of venue.  On Wednesday, Arraignment was held and Markov entered a plea of not guilty.  Judge Terry Tschannen sustained the motion for a change of venue, moving the case to Linn County.  Trial setting and disposition is set for May 6th.

Tuesday in Carroll County, the case against Colby A. Tanner of Carrollton was moved to Lafayette County by order of Judge Kevin Walden.  Tanner faces charges of alleged Assault and Armed Criminal Action.
