A Norborne man had moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash at about 1:07 this morning in Carroll County. State Troopers report the crash occurred on Highway 10, east of Carroll County Road 161, as the 63-year-old man was westbound and fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, coming to rest in the ditch. The man had moderate injuries and was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
State Troopers report 63-year-old Billy W. Weisz of Norborne was arrested at 2:33 am for alleged DWI and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was released for treatment at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
