Early September Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department reports a busy start to September.

Deputies investigated a suspicious grass fire on Highway 139, an ATV driver creating a traffic hazard in Mooresville, and a possible case of vehicle tampering in Chula.

Several arrests were made. On September 4th, 19-year-old Rylin Clark of Chillicothe and 37-year-old Andrew Orton of Fulton were taken into custody on Livingston County warrants. Both were unable to post bond and were taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On September 10th, deputies arrested 36-year-old Brandon Wiloughby of Carrollton on a Carroll County warrant during a traffic stop. He was also cited for alleged failing to register a vehicle and having no insurance. That same day, 34-year-old Rachel Flint of Carrollton was arrested on a Ray County warrant but released after posting bond.

On September 11th, 67-year-old Edward Turner of Chillicothe was arrested on a Livingston County warrant and released on his own recognizance.
