Egg Production Remains Below Early 2022

While egg production in the US is still feeling the effects of Avian Flu, producers are starting to rebuild flocks.  USDA Livestock Analyst Shayle Shagam says egg production is well below last year.

Shagam says bird flu required whole flocks to be destroyed to prevent the spread of the disease.  He says recent reports indicate a start to the rebuilding process.

That has kept the price of eggs from dropping to previous levels.
