Fatal Crash Leaves Polo Teen With Serious Injuries

A three-vehicle crash in Ray County Saturday evening took the life of a Richmond woman and left a Polo teen with serious injuries.  State Troopers report that at about 9:30 pm on Saturday, the 16-year-old girl from Polo was northbound on Highway 13 in Ray County and crossed the centerline, striking a southbound vehicle driven by a 62-year-old woman from Richmond.  The Richmond woman’s vehicle was then struck from behind by another vehicle driver by a 21-year-old man from Lathrop.

Troopers report the Richmond woman died at the scene.  The 16-year-old from Polo was taken to North Kansas City Hospital with serious injuries.  The Lathrop driver was not injured.
