Filing For April Elections Includes Schools, Cities, And Much More

The April 2025 Election may be a few months away, but if you are considering running for local elected office, filing will start December 10th.

In Livingston County, there are numerous elections to be held, including all of the area school boards, generally with at least two board positions on the ballot.

City Elections will be held for Chillicothe, Chula, Ludlow, Utica, and Wheeling.

The Public Water Supply Districts will have board elections.  There will be elections for the Ambulance District Board, Nursing Home Board, and Health Center Board.

Fire District Board Elections will include: Grundy County Fire, Hale Fire, Green Township Fire, and Mooresville Fire District, as well as the Chillicothe Rural Fire District.

There will be elections for all of the township boards.

Road Levy questions will be on the ballot for Fairview, Grand River, Monroe, Mooresville, and Wheeling Townships.

Check with the office for the organizations to determine where to file.  The Ambulance District and the Health Center will have filing at the Livingston County Clerk’s office.
