A house fire reported at 1530 Calhoun summoned Chillicothe firefighters on Monday at about 2:30 pm. The fire crew arrived in two minutes to find smoke coming from the attic vents and eves. The fire crew found a ceiling fan hanging by wires and fire visible above the ceiling. The ceiling was removed and about 1,250 gallons of water and foam was used to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire was electrical. The fire crew was on the scene for about an hour and twenty minutes.
