Flooded roads can be a hazard for any motorist. Sargent Shane Hux from the Missouri Highway Patrol says they recommend a simple action.
Turn Around – Don’t Drown
Hux explained there are many hazards that can be hidden below the water’s surface.
Roads washed out, debris or even powerlines.
Hux says if you do become stranded on a flooded road, that unless the water is rising, stay in your vehicle and call for help. You can call *55 or 911.
