The Chillicothe Garden Club is inviting area gardeners, flower enthusiasts, and families to begin preparing now for its 2026 Flower Show, which will be held June 23-24 at the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery.
The two-day event will showcase flowers, arrangements, and creative garden displays grown and designed by community members from across the area. Organizers say now is the perfect time for gardeners to begin planning and planting for summer blooms that could be entered in the show.
The exhibition is open to the public during gallery hours, and visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries throughout the event.
One unique aspect of the show is that participation is open to everyone — Garden Club membership is not required. Any flowers or arrangements entered must come from plants grown in the participant’s own yard or garden.
This year’s show will feature nine categories:
- Annual
- Perennial
- Rose
- Hosta Leaf
- Creative Container
- Arrangement
- Fairy Garden
- Junior Single Stem
- Junior Arrangement
Organizers noted that the Fairy Garden category is new this year and is designed to celebrate imaginative miniature garden displays.
A winner will be selected in each category, along with an overall “Best in Show” honor for the top entry of the exhibition.
All entries must be dropped off Tuesday, June 23, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery. Participants may enter up to 10 items per category.
Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24. All exhibits must be picked up following the announcement ceremony or they will be composted or recycled.
Garden Club members hope the event continues to highlight the beauty and creativity growing throughout the Chillicothe area while encouraging more community participation each year.
