A report of a grass fire at 454 West Highway 6 near Trenton Thursday morning was handled by the Grundy County Rural Firefighters. The call came in at about 10:30 am and the fire crew arrived to find a grass fire that had extended to four parked vehicles near a home.
A pumper and two brush trucks were used to put out the fire and drag the vehicles away from the home.
There was moderate damage to the home, three vehicles were destroyed, and one vehicle had moderate damage. The fire also burned about 10 acres.
The cause of the fire was not determined. Fire crews were on the scene for about 80 minutes.
