Hale Fire Chief Announces Intent To Resign

The Fire Chief for the Hale Fire Protection District has announced his intent to resign from the position effective December 31st. Chief Nicholas Wilson accepted the position in June of 2023.

In his letter of intent to resign, Wilson stated “Serving as your Fire Chief has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”

The early notice was provided to allow the board ample time to identify the next Fire Chief and allow for a proper transition.

Wilson says one accomplishment he is proud of is placing a second engine into service at the Avalon station. He says that decision significantly improved response capability for the north end of our district while strengthening our ability to provide mutual aid without leaving the remainder of the district unprotected.
