The City of Hale will have a major street project beginning late this summer. Mayor Nick Wilson announced the approval of the bid for the project by the city council. Wilson says the project will focus on restoring city streets to grade using cold mix asphalt repairs, followed by chip and seal improvements on all city streets. The winning bid for the project is just over $348,000, by Vance Brothers.
He explained that the project is possible entirely through the City of Hale Street Maintenance Fund, demonstrating the city’s continued commitment to infrastructure improvements without placing unnecessary burdens on taxpayers.
