Health Center Board Handles Investments

Investments for the Livingston County Health Center were the only item approved by the Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees.  Three members of the board were in attendance at the meeting.  Chair Catherine Hamilton and members Sonja Daley and Clayton Vadnais approved the financials and the investment of $200,000 in CDs.  That included $100,000 in a 24-month CD at 3.9% and $100,000 in a 12-month CD at 4.15%.

At that point, Daley left the meeting, leaving them without a quorum, and no further votes could be taken.

Director Sherry Weldon reminded the remainder of the board that the Tax Rate Hearing will be held as part of the August meeting.   The Tax Rate to be considered will be .3319 per $100 assessed valuation.  That rate is down from the current rate of .3389 per $100 assessed valuation.  This is due to an increase in the county’s assessment.

The board was informed that the carport has been removed, and there was a discussion about a community health assessment.
