Heavy rain moved through the eastern part of the KCHI listings area overnight. Radar estimates include areas of 3-5 inches of rain, from east of Chula to north of Marceline, with 1-3 inches of rain over most of the area.
Flash flood warnings are issued until 9:30 am for areas that include northeast Livingston County, much of Grundy County, Linn County, and portions of Chariton, Harrison, and Mercer County.
Avoid low-lying areas and areas that are prone to sudden flooding.
If the road is covered with water, Turn Around – Don’t Drown. Find an alternate route as you can not tell the condition of the roadway under the water.
