Highway Patrol – No Names On Online Accident Reports

The Missouri Highway Patrol recently changed a policy and are no longer releasing the names of those involved in traffic crashes.  Sargent Shane Hux says the change protects those involved in the crash.

Because of scams using the details in the reports.

Hux says they are still releasing non-identifying details.

Still releasing the gender, age, and where they are from.

The new policy is also in line with the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act.
