Interstate 35 Work At Highway 6 Delayed

The closure of Interstate 35 under the Route 6 bridge in Daviess County has been delayed.  The work was to begin this evening, but due to a change in the contractor’s schedule, the work will now take place on Monday, September 8th.

The closure is part of MoDOT’s Highway 6 bridge deck replacement.  The Freeway will be closed beginning Monday from 7:00 pm, reopening by 6:00 am on Tuesday.  This will allow the contractor to remove concrete forms from below the bridge..

During the closure, I-35 traffic will be directed up and over the ramps at Route 6.  There will be no access to/from Route 6 during the closure.
