Labor Day Travel Recommendations

The Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer for many, and it is often an opportunity for a three-day weekend.  Sergeant Shane Hux says it also means traveling for family events or gathering with friends.

As many will be driving to their destination, roadways could be very busy during the travel period, Sergeant Hux recommends a bit of planning.

Plan ahead, check the weather, and your route.

Hux says many of the road work projects may be halted for the Holiday, but the work zones and lane closures may remain in place.

Watch for signs, traffic control, and warning signs near the work zones.

Give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
