Leadbetter Awarded Animal Control Officer of the Year

Chillicothe’s Animal Control Officer – Nicholas Leadbetter has been named Missouri Animal Control Association – Animal Control Officer of the Year.  The award recognizes his dedication to his profession and his community.

 

Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says the award reflects an officer’s act of heroism, professionalism, dedication to the performance of duties, and his efforts to improve the quality of life for animals as well as citizens within the City of Chillicothe.

 

Maples says Leadbetter’s constant desire to pursue his education and improve the Chillicothe Animal Control practices have made him an incredible asset to our city.
