Liberty Man Sentence For Fentanyl Conspiracy

A Liberty man was sentenced in the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri to 15 years in prison on a fentanyl conspiracy.  Twenty-eight-year-old Dakota Thomas Morris was sentenced for his part in a conspiracy to distribute over 400 grams of fentanyl, between Oct. 27, 2020, and Jan. 24, 2023, in the Western District of Missouri.

The case was investigated by several agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; Grundy County Sheriff’s Office; Trenton Police Department; Northwest Missouri Drug Task Force; U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration; Buchanan County, Missouri Drug Strike Force; U.S. Postal Inspection Service; Mercer County Sheriff’s Office; and the Internal Revenue Service.
