A Brookfield woman charged in cases before the courts in Linn and Livingston Counties will be in court in January. Macie N. Parrent faces sentencing following a guilty plea on a charge of Possession of a controlled substance. The plea agreement includes 7 years in prison, suspended – 5 years of probation. To be served consecutively to any other sentences. The sentencing hearing is January 9th before Judge Ryan Horsman.
January 30th, Parrent will be in Linn County for a preliminary hearing for charges that include 3 counts of alleged forgery and one count of alleged possessing a forging instrument.
A man facing two separate charges of alleged receiving stolen property will be back in court January 8th. Joshua Alan Phelps of Chillicothe appeared before Judge Michael Leamer for arraignment in one case and a preliminary hearing on the other. He is custody on warrants that include total bond of $55,000 cash only.
