Livingston County Health Center Audit, New Door, And Meeting Time

The Livingston County Health Center audit report for 2022 and 2023 was presented by John Gillen.  He reported no findings and no needed changes.  He did report the Health Center increased its financial reserves.  In 2022, the increase was $268,458, and in 2023, the increase was $329,359.  At the end of fiscal year 2023, the Health Center reserves were $1,796,150.  Gillen called the increase a good yardstick of the performance of the board and management.

Director Sherry Weldon told the board a new front door had been installed, including the lettering on the door.  She says they will now look at changing the carpeting at that door.

The HVAC work could be completed as early as this week.

Board meeting time was brought up again by Clayton Vadnais.  He made a motion to move the meeting time from Noon on the last Tuesday of the month to 6:00 pm on the last Tuesday.  A spirited discussion was held with opposing comments by Doug Doughty.  After the discussion, the board voted 3-2 to leave the meeting time unchanged.

Board member Sonja Daley requested time for recognition on the agenda and thanked both Doug Doughty and Darlene Hughes for their 16 years serving on the board.  A token of appreciation was also presented by the director.
