Livingston County Health Center Board Actions

The search for a new administrator for the Livingston County Health Center has been narrowed to four candidates.  That was discussed in the closed executive session following their regular session.  The board will begin the interview process in the first week of December.

In the regular meeting, the board members approved the purchase of a $100,000 CD.

The board reviewed the draft of the budget, asking questions about various funds and grants.  Another version of the budget will be presented in December.

A discussion about the Public Safety registry was held.  The police, New Horizons, and the health center registered one adult and several children on Saturday.

Director Sherry Weldon led the discussion about taxing entities and the city’s consideration of Chapter 100 Bonds.  The board shared her concerns about missing out on tax revenue for a 10 year period.  They are aware that the properties are not currently taxed, so they would not have current taxes taken from them.
