The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for the first part of December includes several investigations and arrests.
Deputies completed a felony theft investigation involving altered business documents in Utica, with the case being forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney. An animal abuse investigation was also reported after a cat was found injured by a suspected pellet gun.
Deputies assisted Chillicothe Police with a domestic disturbance involving a firearm that resulted in one arrest. Other investigations included stolen license plates, a perjury case referred for possible charges, a trespassing complaint, and an unattended death where natural causes are suspected.
Arrests during the period include multiple individuals taken into custody on active warrants, a driving while intoxicated arrest, and two arrests following a domestic disturbance near Avalon involving property damage and theft.
