Local Law Enforcement Helping dads Work With Kids

Area law enforcement agencies are working with dads in the local school districts, helping them to interact with their children.

The Watch D.O.G.S. Program is coming to the Chillicothe R-II School District through the Police Department’s SRO program.  Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples explains the Watch D.O.G.S Program.

Dads helping out and being a role model for the children.

Maples says they are looking for dads who want to be involved in the program.

The SRO’s will be running the program.

Chief Maples says the goal is to partner with the School District and the Sheriff’s office on the program.

 

Livingston County Sheriff Dustin Woelfle says his department began working with the Good Dads Program earlier in the year.

Working with Southwest. Dads meet early in the day with the kids at the school.

Woelfle says they plan to build on the success they had with the program when school resumes this fall.
