The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) celebrated the completion of a new pump station and drainage system at the Fountain Grove Conservation Area with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new pump station, which has been operational since late summer of this year, features three electric pumps that draw water from the Grand River, replacing an outdated diesel pump. The upgrade increases the volume of water pumped and allows for more efficient water management to meet the needs of migrating waterfowl.
