The new 911 Sales Tax went into effect on January 1st, and there are still some questions about what the sales tax rate is for Chillicothe and Livingston County.
In Chillicothe, you will pay sales taxes for:
Missouri (4.225%), Livingston County (1.625%), and Chillicothe (2.50%). If you are purchasing in the TIF District, there is an additional 1.00%.
Outside of Chillicothe, the sales tax includes Missouri (4.225%) and Livingston County (1.625%).
