Bridge deck replacement of the Daviess County Highway 6 bridge over Interstate 35 will begin June 9th. The Highway 6 bridge in Daviess County is scheduled to close beginning Monday, June 9.
The bridge will be closed through late August. Motorists will not be able to cross the bridge. A detour will be in place directing traffic to use US 69 (Exit 69 to the north and Exit 61 to the south).
During demolition, Interstate 35 under the Highway 6 bridge will be closed overnight in both directions beginning Tuesday, June 10th and traffic will be directed up and over the ramps around the closure. Demolition should be complete after the night of the 13th.
