MU Extension Offers Diabetes Cooking Classes

A four-week program on Dining with Diabetes is offered by the University of Missouri Extension in Livingston County.  This is a healthy cooking class for individuals with diabetes.

In the class:

  • Participants learn how to make meals that are healthy, easy to prepare, and tasty.
  • Recipes will be demonstrated, and participants will have the opportunity to taste each one.
  • Participants will also learn up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, and exercise and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests. Recipes and a workbook will be given to each participant.

The Dining with Diabetes course meets four consecutive weeks, beginning October 30th, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The classes will be held in Chillicothe, MO. The location of the program will be shared after registration is completed.
