Museum Received Missouri Humanities Grant

A new Native American exhibit at the Grand River Historical Society Museum is awarded a $10,000 grant from the Missouri Humanities Council.  Curator Dustin Rennels says the funding is for a new and revised exhibit entitled “A Point in Time: Honing Our Native Cultural Evolution Through Artifact.”

One of the major grant recipients, to update the exhibit.

Rennels says they also received local funding for the project.

An anonymous donor provided $6,000 for cases.

They also received a gift from the George and Rosina Harter family of an antique Studebaker wagon from their nearby farm to fill a needed missing piece in the museum’s exhibit.

Rennels says the exhibit is expected to be completed and open by January of 2025.
