New And Refurbished Fire Trucks For Chillicothe

The return of Chillicothe’s large aerial fire truck and delivery of the NEW Chillicothe Fire Department pumper are expected in 2026.

Chillicothe Fire Chief Eric Reeter says they ordered the NEW Pierce Enforcer Pumper in 2023, and they expect delivery in January.  He says they receive updates on the build on a regular basis.

The aerial truck was transported to Alabama to be refurbished in July.  Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus expected the work to take about six months, barring any problems.  Delivery is expected between January 1st and the start of April.

The Chillicothe Fire Department had the funds to pay for the trucks thanks to the Chillicothe Fire Tax.    When the pumper was ordered, Reeter says the full amount was moved to an account that has earned interest.  That interest could help the department with the purchase of gear.
