A 65-year-old Polo woman is charged in Caldwell County with 21 counts of alleged Animal Neglect or abandonment. The probable cause statement indicates the animals belonging to Sharon Lynn Martin were left out in the cold with little or no shelter. Many were malnourished, and one nursing mother died while the pups were still latched on. Martin is expected in court for her initial appearance on February 6th.
