Progress On Chillicothe Police Facility Construction

Construction of the new Chillicothe Police Facility continues.  The contractor reports good progress in many areas.

  • The framer has concluded the interior metal stud framing and has moved along with the installation process for drywall and wall insulation.
  • The fire suppression contractor has nearly finished the installation of all fire sprinkler piping.
  • The electrician has completed the in-wall and overhead rough-in throughout the building.
  • The plumbing contractor has made headway with the in-wall and overhead plumbing rough-in.
  • The mason has begun the process of placing the stone on the exterior of the building.

One area that has experienced issues is the environmental systems.  The report from the contractor states HVAC has moved slow due to manpower issues, but they have proceeded with the rough‐in process and should be finished by the end of the month.

City Administrator Roze Frampton says the work is still on track for completion in early March.
