Rabies Cases Rise In The Spring

The Spring season is a time to protect ourselves from Rabies.  Communicable Disease Coordinator Lori Murray, from the Livingston County Health Center, says immediate treatment of bites is important.

Murry says if the animal was rabid or could not be located you must be treated.

The treatment is a series of shots.

If you have questions about rabies, contact the Health Center at 660-646-5506.
