Several court actions are reported by the courts in the area counties.
A woman charged with alleged attempting to distribute a controlled substance at a protected facility is scheduled for arraignment in Livingston County circuit Court. Thirty-four-year-old Sarah Nichole Sohaib of Wentzville has also applied for a change of venue to Daviess County.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Thursday in Caldwell County court for James Ryan Levi Grimes on a charge of stealing. Grimes pleaded guilty on November 13th.
A man facing charges that include alleged six counts of rape, two counts of sodomy, two counts of child molestation, and one count of assault, will have his case heard in Chariton County Circuit Court. Kenneth Ray Paul, Jr, of Brunswick has his case bound over to Circuit court, with arraignment set for April 9th.
A pre-trail hearing and Jury trial will be held in Benton County Court for Robbie Allen Acton of Carrollton, on charges of alleged DWI resulting in the death of another and leaving the scene of an accident that occurred on July 30th of 2025 in Benton County. The hearing is set for March 17th. The Jury Trial is set for June 4th and 5th.
